Inferior

Inferior is a term used in anatomy to describe a position or direction that is below, or toward the bottom of the body. For example, the feet are inferior to the hands. This term is commonly used to describe the location of body parts in relation to each other. Synonyms include below, lower, under, and bottom.

An anatomical direction; away from the head or toward the bottom (below) of the body. For example, the feet are inferior to the hands.
