Why the Brookbush Institute?

  • Expect More: All Brookbush Institute courses are pre-approved by the BOC for the continuing education units (CEUs) needed for ATC license renewal. Additionally, if you hold a CPT, LMT, PT, OT, or DC license, our courses will meet those CEU requirements as well. Our flexible online education platform allows you to complete every course on desktop or mobile. Each course includes multiple formats for optimal learning: live webinars, recorded videos, text and illustrations, audio voice-overs, practice exams, credit-worthy final exams, and certificates. Enjoy a seamless, comprehensive educational experience with Brookbush Institute.
  • Unparalleled Accuracy of Information: The Brookbush Institute is the only comprehensively evidence-based education platform in the industry. We know that our colleagues want to be better, help more, and deliver unparalleled results, so they need the most accurate information available. The most accurate information can only be achieved with a systematic approach to developing evidence-based courses. That is why every course we offer is built from a systematic review of all available peer-reviewed and published research, with a focus on improving practical application. With the Brookbush Institute, you never have to decide which "expert opinion" you "believe" when two or more courses contradict (which is all too common on other platforms). Although science slowly evolves over time, and our conclusions may be refined, you can be assured that the content we provide is the most well-supported conclusion that could be developed at the time of publication, based on research and outcomes, not expert opinion.
  • Designed to be the Education Platform All of Wish Existed: All Brookbush Institute certifications are offered with an innovative system of modular courses, iterative testing, and credits (no summative final exam). Our courses include video, illustrations, audio, and text to ensure the learner has the format that they prefer wherever they are. Listen to courses in the car, watch close-captioned videos during breaks at work, or study the text and take notes at home. We are also incredibly passionate about making it comfortable to study from your phone so that you can sneak in study time at any time. Our goal is to develop the most accessible, flexible, and convenient education platform ever.
  • Affordability and Access are Part of our Mission: We are the only education provider in the industry to include our certifications in a true monthly (or yearly) membership plan. This reduces the initial cost of certification to just 3 - 5% of comparable certifications, and you can cancel anytime.

What our members are saying

Important to my learning style

I have almost completed my CPT certification and am half-way through the Human Movement certification to inform my massage practice. The different modalities of reading, watching audiovisual materials, and attending live or recorded webinars have been important to my learning style and for review.

Non-biased & practical

I have taken both the Human Movement Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer certificate programs and have found the value in understanding the how and ways the body moves and functions and from evidence, non-biased, outcome, conceptual, theoretical, and practical approach to helping my clients/patients look better, feel better, and move better.

Stellar coursework

Over the last years I've returned time and again to Brookbush Institute for stellar coursework as I've worked toward a Human Movement Specialist certification. (I'm currently ACE CPT, and in training with Anatomy Trains for Structural Integration Manual Therapy.) Every Brookbush Institute module is fantastic and each one includes detailed informational videos, written descriptions of how to-do, and, more importantly, why to-do!

Well-documented scientific content

I am getting my Master's degree in Kinesiology, and I would like to say that I have benefited greatly from the rich, comprehensive, well-documented scientific content of Brookbush Institute that links theory to practical applications. Proudly I've got my CPT certificate, and I am on my way to get my HMS certificate.

Users can transition seamlessly

Having courses count towards different certifications makes it so users can transition seamlessly from one certification to another. In my case, going from earning the BI CPT to earning the BI HMS was an easy decision and I am proud to have earned both certifications. I have also had the pleasure of going to a Live HMS workshop that was well taught by Instructor Boettcher and that was excellent to see how the methods and techniques are implemented.

Most valuable certificate

The H.M.S. is the most valuable certificate I have earned and was a fraction of the the cost of my others. Define the best bang for your buck!

We Think About Continuing Education Credit Approval (So you don't have to)

We Think About Continuing Education Credit Approval (So you don't have to)

Currently, the only solution we are aware of to reduce the accreditation confusion problem and help our colleagues with their continuing education and certification needs is to build a massive accreditation portfolio. That is, we do the research to determine which accreditations are necessary, acquire as many accreditations as we can to ensure everyone is covered, and ensure that our colleagues can demonstrate continuing education and certification completion with documentation that is accreditor-compliant.

Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) is Relatively Ineffective: Research Confirmed

Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) is Relatively Ineffective: Research Confirmed

Research Summary Statement: The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) available that compare pain neuroscience education (PNE) to other interventions imply that PNE is unlikely to be more effective than biomedical education, and is unlikely to result in additional benefit when added to supervised manual therapy, exercise, and/or the combination of other effective interventions. Further, the addition of manual therapy and exercise to PNE reliably results in significant improvement in patient outcomes, implying that PNE alone cannot be considered an optimal treatment approach. The addition of PNE to a home exercise program may enhance patient outcomes (perhaps due to enhanced effort and compliance during exercise). Last, PNE does reliably improve Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia (TSK) scores; however, the validity of this finding and/or correlation with other recovery outcome measures is questionable.
