Distal

Distal is an anatomical term used to describe a body part that is situated away from the center of the body or the point of attachment. For example, the foot is at the distal end of the leg. Synonyms include peripheral.

Distal: An anatomical direction; further from the trunk or center of the body. For example, the foot is at the distal end of the leg.
