Excitation Threshold
The excitation threshold is the minimum level of depolarization required for an action potential to occur in nerve and muscle cells. It plays a crucial role in the all-or-none response of these cells to a stimulus.
Excitation threshold: The level that a depolarization must reach for an action potential to occur. The excitation threshold is a contributing factor to the "all-or-none" response of muscle and nerve cells to a stimulus.
